The Order was a collection of powerless, radicialized Argoans led by Korin Zel-Dor that sought to obtain the power of the most gifted of the Argoans of power to usher cosmic conquest.

Background

Formation

The Order was formed by Korin Zel-Dor, a powerless Argoan, and comprised of other fellow powerless Argoans spanning across the planet. Korin radicialized his fellow Order members to turn against the Argoans that possessed powers, desiring to claim their power for themselves to usher a cosmic conquest, believing that those with powers refused to show the universe their true might and ensure those without powers remained under their boot.[1]

Obtaining the Seal

To fulfill their mission, the Order sought to create a genetic clone of the strongest Argoan currently available, that being Kara In-Ze, the daughter of the two most powerful Argoans on the entire planet, ensuring that the clone fell into the Order's beliefs and fulfilled their task of conquering the universe. Seeking a way to both generate a clone and make it even more stronger than a normal Argoan, the Order sought out the powerful Seal of Metatron, safeguarded by its creator Metatron in a vault within the planet's core.

Korin led a small task force of fellow Order members to the vault, where they confronted Metatron in an attempt to get him to relinquish the relic. When he refused, claiming they couldn't possible understand its power, Korin twisted his words, telling his Order members that Metatron, an Argoan of power, didn't think powerless Argoans could wield the Seal of Metatron, using this to justify their ruthless murder of the sorcerer upon acquiring the relic from the vault.[2]

Argoan War

Now armed with the Seal of Metatron, the Order used it as their chief weapon against the Argoans of power, channeling its power into weaponry to combat the Argoans, seeking to push through every last one of them until they had Kara in their grasp. For eighteen years, the Order fought hard against the Argoans of power, thought their usage of the Seal of Metatron allowed its dark magic to corrode the planet of Argo until it was left in a state of disrepair, resulting in an imminent collapse that would destroy the entirety of the planet.

Amidst the collapse of Argo, Kara's parents ensured their daughter's safety by placing her in a cryogenic pod aboard a space station in Argo's orbit, though several surviving members of the Order infiltrated the station to retrieve Kara while she was defenseless. To ensure Kara didn't fall into the Order's possession, the crew of the station made the decision to scuttle the facility, killing virtually all aboard except Kara, who was saved by her cryochamber. The resulting destruction also sent the lab containing Kara's chamber hurdling across the universe.

Determined to retrieve Kara, Korin and the other nineteen surviving members of the Order followed the lab across the universe toward its eventual destination.[1]

Activities on Earth

Eventually, the lab crash-landed in Northern Maine on Earth in October 2014. While the Order quickly surrounded the ruined lab, they soon discovered that Kara escaped, having been assisted by Harry Mason, who reached the crash site first. Nonetheless, Korin discovered a piece of Kara's cape from the lab, rallying his Order members that they would find Kara soon.

Nearly a year later on August 15th, 2015, the Order finally captured Kara, having identified her with Harry at a grocery store through an undercover Order member working there. Bringing Kara to their base in Maine, Korin and the Order used the Seal of Metatron to begin a process of generating their clone of Kara. However, the process would be interrupted by Harry, who infiltrated their base and freed Kara, causing the clone to take on a slightly younger and alternate appearance of Kara. Kara then destroyed the Seal of Metatron while it was exposed, resulting in an explosion that killed fifteen of the remaining twenty Order members. Korin would be scarred by the explosion, while Kara would later die from the wounds she sustained shielding Harry and her clone from the blast.

Determined to gather intel on the clone and Harry, the remaining five Order members managed to blackmail Douglas Cartland, a detective in the East Millinocket Police Department that was close friends with Harry, into spying on him and the clone, which they would find out he adopted as his daughter and named Heather Mason. For the next four years, the Order had Douglas feed them information on the clone's capabilities while the Order focused on reforging the Seal of Metatron from its fragments. Over time, the Order learned that Heather possessed some of the Seal's power, preventing its completion.

On June 9th, 2019, the Order learned that Heather's Argoan powers were locked away when Kara stripped her of her memories, which were tied to strong, painful emotions and memories. The Order soon realized that in order for them to finish the Seal to create another clone, they would have to force Heather into reawakening her powers by causing her emotional pain, as the negativity of her emotions would unlock her lost memories and subsequently her powers. To ensure Heather unleashed her powers, two members of the Order targeted Harry while she was away and tortured him to death. Heather, unable to save her father in time, awoke her powers for the first time and killed the two Order members, signaling the start of the Seal of Metatron's complete restoration at the Order's base.

With help from Douglas, Heather ventured to the Order's base, where she confronted Korin and fought him. However, Korin managed to use the Seal to absorb the Seal's energy within Heather, enabling him to complete the relic and immediately begin a process to create another clone while his last two Order members held Heather down. Korin successfully generated a new Argoan clone, one fully empowered with the Seal's energy after draining it from the relic and complete with Heather and Kara's Argoan genetics, before possessing the body himself. Korin proceeded to fight Heather with his newfound powers, accidentally killing his remaining Order members amidst their fight and rendering himself as the Order's final member.

Despite his efforts, Korin was unable to defeat Heather, who empowered herself with the fond memories she gained from her life with Harry. After a brutal fight both on Earth and soon in space itself, Korin was thrown down back onto Earth by Heather. Before Korin could do anything after recovering from being slammed into his base from space, Heather used her own newfound powers to extract Korin's soul from the clone's body through intangiblity before obliterating his soul with her heat vision, killing him and destroying the last remnant of the Order's influence in her life.[1]
