"Sarge" is an African American character introduced as a playable character in the Call of Duty: Retribution Legacy Mission First Contact. He also appears in the Retribution's Legacy first issue Legacy, Part I: First Contact as one of the protagonists.
He ranked as a Sergeant, evident by Miller's dialogue who calls him Sarge and leads CIF Team Four.
Legacy: First Contact
During CIF Team Four's mission to investigate Caldera Peak, Colorado, they searched through what remained of the town in order to assess the situation of what had happened to the towns people, who mysteriously disappeared. As they search through the town, they find buildings and motels all boarded up and seemingly no life is found until they encounter a pile of bodies in an alleyway after investigating an unknown sound heard nearby. Squad member Williams is killed a Cryptid Rhino and the team is later ambushed by the creatures.
Meanwhile their superior Brigadier General "Godfather" Castle orders them to retreat to a nearby lodge motel to receive a nuclear beacon and assistance from a special forces soldier lent by a Field Commander of Task Force: STALKER. Going back to the cabin they saw earlier before being ambushed, CIF Team Four and Private are able to plant the beacon, but before they could activate it and notify "Godfather", they are met with extreme resistance from the Cryptids and are eventually overrun while holding out in a barn.
All members of CIF Team Four, along with Private, are declared M.I.A. as their bodies were not seen or found by Task Force Spectre, another squad sent in to finish their mission.
Trivia
- Sarge is nicknamed after the slang term for the rank "Sergeant". This is due to the fact that his first name in both the game and comic is not mentioned at all by the characters.
