Riven, also known as the Riven of a Thousand Voices and Goddess of Darkness, is an extremely powerful interdimensional entity who has conquered many dimensions with her signature weapon, One Thousand Voices which has the power to resurrect dead cells and orgasms, turning them into what Riven calls "Scorn". She is able to transform into a large creature-like being at will, this is her Familiar form.
Upon arriving in the Nexus Dimension, Riven manifests into her human form to blend in with everyone else. Riven's first move after arrival was claiming and resurrecting a potential dead person, preferably someone who was considered to be "antagonist" and found Yirksii's dead body and used One Thousand Voices to resurrect him, giving him new life but also taking his soul. Due to her status as an interdimensional entity, she naturally has access to the Nexus, despite any and all "firewalls" it has against beings not granted access to it.
Introduced as part of The Blind Well content update for Call of Duty: Age of Extinction, she also appears in the Blind Well activity as the final boss of Tier VI Heroic, first in her original form and then in her creature form.
In "Prophecy", it is revealed that Riven is part of the Order of the Nine as one of their Keepers for the Nine Dimensions. Because she conquered Dimensions, it is possible she rules more than a single Dimension, however its not elaborated on how many she's conquered.
Riven is set to return in some capacity in the 2028 film The Son, with Debra Wilson returning as her voice actress.
