The Nine Dimensions are dimensional planes of existence overseen by the Order of the Nine. Each Dimension is ruled by a Keeper.
First introduced in "Prophecy", the Nine's leader Viius explains to The Son that the Nexus-verse is just one of the Nine Dimensions in existence, and that as Ruler of the Nexus, he holds immense power within the Nexus Dimension; in other Dimensions, he retains all non-administrative power.
Original Dimension
The Original Timeline was one of the Nine Dimensions, however with the creation of the Nexus, the Nine ceased its classification as a Dimension and integrated it as a realm of the Unknown Space.
Nine Dimensions
Nexus Dimension
The Nexus is one of the Nine Dimensions overseen by the Nine. Its current Keeper is The Son.
Riven's Dimension
According to Viius, Riven is the current Keeper of this Dimension. Furthermore, it is said that she's within it preparing her armies, though Viius does not elaborate why.
In addition to this Dimension, Riven presides over others as well, as she conquered them with One Thousand Voices.
Vex Dimension
The Vex Dimension is one of the Nine Dimensions conquered by Riven, whom serves as its current Keeper, after having killed its previous Keeper, The Templar by challenging them in combat.
4th Dimension
The 4th Dimension is one of the Nine Dimensions conquered by Riven, whom serves as its current Keeper, having killed its previous Keeper for their place.
Cabal Dimension
The Cabal Dimension is one of the Nine Dimensions ruled by the Cabal, a race of large, rhino-like sentient beings. Its current Keeper is Calus, Emperor of the Cabal Empire.
The Cabal Empire is currently at war with Riven's Empire in this Dimension, as she is seeking to claim Calus's place as Keeper.
Oathbound Dimension
The Oathbound Dimension is one of the Nine Dimensions ruled by the Oathbound Kingdom. Its current Keeper is the King of the Oathbound Kingdom. His twin children Lexa and Orin serve as his heirs; Lexa being heir apparent as she is the oldest.
7th Dimension
The 7th Dimension is one of the Nine Dimensions overseen by the Nine. Its current Keeper is not known.
8th Dimension
The 8th Dimension is one of the Nine Dimensions overseen by the Nine. Its current Keeper is not known.
9th Dimension
The 9th Dimension is one of the Nine Dimensions overseen by the Nine. Its current Keeper is not known.
Trivia
- The idea of the Nine Dimensions is another one of the author's inspirations taken from Norse mythology.
- Out of all Keepers, The Son is the most powerful of them due to his abilities and Reincarnation ability. The Templar, as a Vex, ranked second until they were killed by Riven, who is now the second most powerful.
- During a Keepers Gathering in the Nine's Unknown Space by Viius, Riven once said that The Son could easily conquer all of the Dimensions and take out the Order of the Nine, if he wanted to.
