Division One was a research division of Humane R&D led by Roach whose primary goal was to unlock the key to Temporal-Soul Travel and refine it for future usage.

Background

Establishment

Division One was created as the first of several research departments of Humane R&D, a joint military and scientific program operated by the United States Army at a facility in Northern California. Members of Division One would comprise of operatives pulled from prior military experiences with varying knowledges in science, with Roach being appointed as head of Division One and its activities.

Work

Fascinated by the myth of the Summoning Key, Roach managed to decipher various techniques that one could achive with a soul through runes recovered from the Summoning Key's at-the-time presumed crash-site in the California desert. Roach learned that it was possible to resonate with a verison of one's soul present in a different point in time, which Roach saw as the basis for creating a functional method of time travel.
