The XM2 was manufactured during the Cold War by the CIA. It was manufactured in secret, and not even President John F. Kennedy knew of it. Area 51 housed the XM2, and creation began immediately after the zombie outbreaks in Cuba and Vietnam. After completion, it was given to CIA special agents.

Service

The XM2 was in service from 1948 to 1967. During its service, it saw little actual combat. During that time, the CIA was using the Enfield and Famas in large numbers instead of the XM2. Even with little service, the XM2 made its mark in Central Intelligence Agency history.
