Extinction is a game mode featured in Call of Duty: Ghosts where up to four players must get through missions to fight against the Cryptids which are ancient creatures that have existed before the dinosaurs. While Zombies mode is focused on wave based survival, Extinction has a clear objective and is winnable. Extinction's set-up is comparable to Valve's Left 4 Dead games.
