Corporal Brian Thompson was a former Coil Arms Division soldier who defected to the Galactic Council of Alliances.

Early Life
Joining Coil
Brian Thompson was born on August 6th, 2220 in New York City as the younger brother of Paul Thompson. At some point in time in the 2240s, both brothers joined the Coil Arms Division, with Brian becoming a soldier within the group.[2]
Defection
By mid 2251, Brian learned that he had become an expendable asset to the organization and was sentenced to be subjected to various lethal experiments. In response, Brian went into hiding from the organization and faked his death to throw them off his trail. Brian also cut ties with Paul, who remained loyal to Coil.[2]
Galactic Council of Alliances Asset
Becoming a Mercenary
Desiring retribution against the Coil Arms Division, Brian became a private mercenary for the Galactic Council of Alliances. In November 2251, Brian was sent to Fort New Trinity to provide an additional level of security for the Eclipse Medical and Health Services as they commenced the first live tests with The Hybrid. During his time at the facility, Brian concealed his identity to prevent potential Coil Arms Division spies from learning of his survival.[2]
